Today on the podcast I have Confidence Coach, Hannah Marie talking all things confidence and self worth. We have an open conversation on how our beliefs create our reality and how to learn to accept yourself, for all that you are.
For most people, the idea of confidence is wearing nice clothes, looking good and then feeling good - the idea that our external changes our internal. However, this is not the case. Our confidence comes from inside, who we are and how comfortable we are with ourselves, flaws and all.
Hannah was kind enough to share how her struggles with a chronic illness from the age 10 shaped how she saw herself and her place in the world. She let a moment in time change the course of her life and by finding her confidence, and voice, she is now in control of her illness, and life- it is truly inspirational.
The word that sums up this conversation is “worth” - learning to understand how your past can control all the decisions you make today, and then changing the story if you are not happy with it. Whether you have faced childhood trauma, pain, mental illness, any kind of suffering - you have the ability to move through it and find your own version of confidence - you are completely deserving of that.
In order to maximise your life, to find success and become the person you want to be, you have to start with the inner work. It is uncomfortable, scary and confrontational but on the other side of that, is the woman you aspire to be. You don’t have to be defined by your past, you can become the confident person you have always dreamed of, both Hannah and I are examples of that.
In today’s episode we discuss:
How Chronic Illness changed Hannah’s view on the world and herself
The negative effects of low self confidence
How to work on yourself and find your own version of self confidence
The difference between self love and self care
And so much more!
