Today is a special edition of the podcast - I have taken a section of my live podcast recording with nutritionist and creator of the Feminine Circle, Kara Mackrell, and am sharing it with you all today. Kara is not only a good friend of mine, but someone who has opened my eyes to the power of your health, and how much better we as humans perform when we understand our own individual bodies and optimise them to perform at our best.
After a range of health problems, I decided to go off the pill about 8 months ago. I was never expecting the door I was about to open, and the journey I was about to go on because of this. Learning all about my hormones, my cycle and my body for the first time, I was appalled that none of this was taught to me in high school - yet it has had such a profound effect on my life.
This conversation is raw, girly and a little TMI (but that’s what we are about at TRHP- keeping it REAL) - we have an honest conversation about doing your own research, listening to your body and utilising your cycle to perform at your very best.
For the most part, if something doesn’t feel right, it isn’t right. Especially when it comes to your health. We are all individual and what works for one person or an influencer you see online, may not work for you. It is so important that you speak to a qualified professional who can help you make changes and make the most out of life, just like Kara does with her Nutrition clients and community through the Feminine Circle.
If you want to learn more about your period, understand your cycle, why healthy hormones are crucial and also the importance of owning your femininity and being in a supportive community- this episode is for you!!
In today’s episode we discuss:
Kara’s journey from chronic fatigue, to Nutritionist
How our cycle plays a huge role in our life and how to read it.
Why everything starts with your health and how to take care of yourself
The importance of owning your femininity and finding likeminded friends
And so much more!
